Jon M. English
Jon English represents private debt funds, business development companies, and other institutional investors in domestic and cross-border financings. Jon advises lenders in various transaction types including unitranches, first lien/second lien transactions, mezzanine investments, and debtor-in-possession financings. He specializes in transactions in a diverse range of industries including software, healthcare, and energy, and involve new money originations, out-of-court restructurings, and bankruptcies.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jon was an associate at an international law firm in its direct lending/private credit practice group and was a secondee at a large global asset manager with hundreds of billions of dollars of assets under management, providing legal support to its debt investment professionals across multiple strategies and funds.
