Joseph Azeizat advises clients in the energy and project development sectors, with a particular focus on nuclear regulatory and litigation matters. Having gained experience in legal roles at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), he has a deep understanding of the NRC’s legal framework and internal processes. Joseph is admitted in Massachusetts only, and his practice is supervised by DC Bar members.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Joseph served as an attorney in the NRC's Office of General Counsel, where he advised on a wide range of matters including reactor licensing, rulemaking, and litigation. He later served as legal counsel to NRC Commissioner Annie Caputo, providing guidance on complex adjudications, regulatory policy, and Commission-level decisions.
Prior to his work at the NRC, Joseph served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Diane R. Rubin of the Massachusetts Land Court, where he worked on cases involving real property, land use, and environmental law.
