Julian A. Goodman focuses his practice on real estate finance and pure real estate matters. He advises investment banks on the real estate aspects of property finance loan origination, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) transactions, structured real estate transactions, real estate acquisition, and development finance. Julian has advised a rating agency and monoline insurers regarding real estate issues surrounding structured and securitised transactions.

Julian has a wide range of experience with pure real estate matters, including property acquisitions, disposals, and leases for both investment and occupying clients, as well as in the context of the structuring of property interests for structured real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Julian was a partner in the banking and asset finance practice of another international law firm.
