Karl A. Schweitzer is part of a team that works with clients to manage all types of litigation and investigations. He represents clients in the healthcare, publishing, financial services, and energy industries. Karl recently helped obtain summary judgment for an international publishing company in a number of copyright infringement cases. In those cases, the court held that the plaintiffs lacked statutory standing to assert claims under the Copyright Act.
Karl maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing a prisoner in a civil rights action. Before joining the Morgan Lewis team, he served as a voluntary law clerk for Judge Joan B. Gottschall of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
While attending the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Karl worked as a judicial intern for Judge Gene E.K. Pratter of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
