Lana B. Pendergast focuses on qualified retirement plans, with a strong analytical and technical background in defined benefit plans. Lana has more than 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. In addition to her work with defined benefit plans, Lana consults with multiple employer plan clients, provides plan design consultation and nondiscrimination testing, and advises on early retirement windows. Her experience also includes extensive work on plan mergers and acquisitions, due diligence review, and guiding clients through the plan termination process. Additionally, Lana advises clients on nonqualified deferred compensation plans, severance pay plans, and other nonqualified severance pay arrangements.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Lana worked as a senior employee benefits consultant for a large trade association with multiple employer defined benefit, defined contribution, and health and welfare plans with combined assets in excess of $10 billion. Lana also worked as an actuarial consultant for a global employee benefits consulting firm.
