Laura Garvin practices employment-based immigration law, counseling and advising employers on broad immigration compliance and agency facilitation issues before US federal agencies involved with immigration. Working primarily with high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs, Laura develops strategy and prepares petitions for myriad immigration benefits including nonimmigrant and immigrant status, permanent residency, naturalization, and family immigration matters.

Laura also assists multinational corporations on global mobility facilitation, advising them on employment-related immigration issues and implementing strategic plans for US and international businesses focused on the international relocation of personnel.
Additionally, Laura helps employers develop systems for labor conditions attestations, the I-9 employment verification system, and labor certification applications for professional workers. She regularly trains corporate human resources departments concerning immigration laws and regulations for managing foreign national personnel. Laura also advises investors and entrepreneurs on viable US immigration options to fit within their business needs.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Laura was an associate in the global immigration and mobility practice of another global law firm, resident in Miami and previously in Washington, DC.
