Laura Moedano Mosadeghi
Laura Moedano Mosadeghi is a litigation associate, representing clients in complex civil litigation in federal and state courts. She has represented clients in a variety of business litigation matters, including contractual disputes, business torts, consumer class actions, trademark infringement, and unfair competition claims. Laura has experience in various stages of litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including as second chair in an arbitration that resulted in a $3 million arbitration award.
During law school, Laura interned for Judge Tony M. Davis, US Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas. She was also a legal and policy aide for Nathan Johnson, Texas State Senator, District 16, in Austin, Texas, during the 86th Legislative Session. In this role, Laura assisted with several Health and Human Services Committee matters, met with constituents and interest groups, and drafted key research and legal documents. Laura also proposed a bill that became the senator’s first bill to become law.
Laura was also a research assistant for William C. Powers Jr., Jamail Chair in Law and Former President at The University of Texas, assisting with an early draft of Learning to Think Like a Lawyer. After graduating from law school, Laura assisted John Deigh, Professor of Philosophy and Law at The University of Texas, with the completion of William C. Powers’ manuscript – posthumously published as Sharpening the Legal Mind: How to Think Like a Lawyer.
