Laura represents clients in a wide array of employment matters, focusing on a range of employment litigation including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, religious and disability accommodations, and wage and hour cases. She also works with employers to conduct internal investigations, advises on responses and remediation measures in connection with alleged misconduct, and establishes policies and procedures that reduce the risk of litigation.
A well-rounded litigator with experience in trial and arbitration proceedings, Laura handles cases across the employment law spectrum. She regularly litigates cases involving claims of discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Virginia Human Rights Act (VHRA), and other federal and state laws.
Along with her active litigation practice, Laura regularly conducts workplace culture assessments and investigations into misconduct and advises clients on best practices to resolve workplace issues. Laura additionally works on drafting and revising company handbooks to ensure employer compliance with federal and local laws.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Laura was an associate at a global labor and employment law firm. While in law school, Laura served as the executive editor for the Civil Rights Law Journal and as president of the Pro Bono Society.
