Marisa L. Berlinger is a commercial litigator with experience in a wide range of complex business disputes, including employment-related litigation (unfair competition, theft of corporate trade secrets, and wrongful discharge), commercial contracts, defamation, and consumer protection. She also regularly conducts internal employment investigations for and assists clients with business-related government investigations and enforcement actions, and draws on that experience in her litigation practice to anticipate issues and find creative solutions for disputes.

Marisa is an active member of several firm initiatives and currently sits on the Seattle office’s Recruiting Committee. She also serves as an organizer volunteer for local meetings of the firm’s First Generation Lawyer Network. Marisa is also proud to give back to her hometown and the community that helped shape her professionally, and in 2023 she established an endowment scholarship for first-generation business students at her alma mater LSSU.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Marisa spent two years clerking for Judge Beverly B. Martin (ret.) for the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She also worked as a commercial litigation associate at a national law firm.
