Mark Allen focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Mark regularly litigates issues affecting the managed care industry, representing leading health plans in healthcare and ERISA welfare benefit plan matters. He has more than a decade of experience representing clients in all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, trial, arbitration, and appeals.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mark represented insureds in complex personal injury matters and individuals in white collar criminal investigations and prosecutions, taking the lead role preparing and arguing motions in state and federal courts and preparing appellate briefs for cases pending before the California Court of Appeal, the California Supreme Court, and the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
While in law school, Mark served as the managing editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review. He was also an extern for former federal district court judge Margaret M. Morrow and former federal magistrate judge Oswald Parada, both from the Central District of California, as well as the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.
