Melissa Gaglia advises public and privately held companies on executive compensation and employee benefits matters both in the ordinary course of business and when engaging in corporate transactions. Melissa’s practice encompasses designing, negotiating, implementing, and maintaining equity compensation arrangements, cash-based incentive compensation arrangements, deferred compensation plans, executive employment agreements, severance agreements, and change-of-control agreements.
Melissa assists with the design and implementation of health and welfare benefit plans, cafeteria plans, fringe benefit plans, and retirement plans. She counsels clients on compliance with federal, state, and local laws impacting employee benefit plans, and related tax implications.
In law school, Melissa worked as a student attorney in the Project Entrepreneur Clinic, where she counseled returning citizens who have criminal records on the legal aspects of starting their own businesses.
