Okeya Smith advises clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including US and cross-border mergers and acquisitions involving both public and private companies, renewable energy transactions, capital markets, and other general corporate matters. Okeya also counsels public companies in connection with annual and quarterly reports, proxy statements, and compliance under US federal securities laws. In addition, Okeya maintains an active pro bono practice involving many areas of public interest law, including asylum, citizenship, and not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to joining the firm, Okeya served as a law clerk for the New York Stock Exchange and a summer law clerk for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
