Patrick R. Duffey
Patrick R. Duffey represents and advises employers in the insurance, energy, technology, and retail industries on a wide array of legal issues impacting their workforce. Much of Patrick’s practice focuses on representing employers in litigation and administrative actions arising under state and federal discrimination and whistleblower laws. Patrick also frequently represents employers and employees in disputes concerning the enforcement of restrictive covenant agreements and the misappropriation of trade secrets. Patrick serves on the firm’s Global Committee on Associates and Chicago Office Hiring Committee.
In addition to handling disputes, Patrick counsels employers on issues related to hiring and termination, executive compensation, and the drafting of employment agreements.
Patrick maintains a robust pro bono practice, working with several legal aid organizations in the Chicago area and representing incarcerated individuals in civil rights actions in federal court.
Patrick joined Morgan Lewis in 2018 after practicing in the commercial litigation group of a large, national law firm.
