In state and federal courts across the United States, Patrick K.A. Elkins represents clients in matters involving environmental law, insurance recovery litigation, product liability, toxic torts, and general commercial litigation. His complex commercial litigation experience includes cases involving groundwater contamination, oil spills, insurance recovery, and contract disputes. Patrick also handles compliance investigations, responds to third-party subpoenas, and defends corporations in product liability and premises defense matters relating to energy and the life sciences.
Patrick served as vice-chair of the Pro Bono Committee for the firm’s Houston office. His pro bono work includes representing clients in matters involving veterans benefits, immigration, family law, and child advocacy concerns.

Represented a chemical corporation in insurance recovery matter involving claims arising from tornado damage.
Defending numerous corporations in asbestos and other toxic tort cases, including successfully arguing motions for summary judgment, attending depositions of plaintiffs, conducting motions practice, and drafting petitions for writ of mandamus and responses thereto.
Representing numerous corporations in all aspects of insurance recovery arising from product liability claims, including forensic search related to historic insurance policies investigation of corporate histories, and briefing on motions for summary judgment.
