Sandra Kaczmarczyk is a seasoned trial lawyer representing clients in complex commercial, product liability, environmental, and insurance recovery disputes. She has tried cases to verdict and through appeals in jury and bench trials in federal court and has experience with mass actions, including class actions and multi district litigation. Sandra successfully argued a certified question to the South Carolina Supreme Court and represented a creditor in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding.

Sandra’s civil litigation experience focuses on business disputes and has included breach of contract claims, claims for statutory damages, environmental claims, and product liability claims. Her clients have included fertilizer, pesticide and paper manufacturers and electric and nuclear power generators, as well as technology, retail, and financial services companies.

Sandra also advises and represents companies in high-stakes insurance coverage disputes. Sandra’s litigation, arbitration, and counseling experience includes disputes involving claims for coverage under commercial general liability (CGL), products and environmental liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, property and casualty and business interruption insurance policies for defense and indemnity coverage arising from underlying long-tail environmental and product claims. Sandra’s coverage cases have involved claims for loss arising from environmental claims involving per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), asbestos, historic waste impoundments, and nuclear facilities. She has litigated and arbitrated claims for indemnification under insurance adjacent agreements, including private party indemnification agreements and settlement agreements between insured and insurer. She also has advised companies regarding state regulations governing the sale of pet insurance.

In her pro bono practice, Sandra represents a non-profit corporation seeking insurance coverage for a cyber breach claim.
