Shannon L. Dunn
Shannon Dunn combines legal experience with technological skills to help clients meet regulatory and legal requirements with cost-effective risk management, electronic discovery (eDiscovery), and document review. Her practice covers all phases of eDiscovery litigation, along with training and management of contract counsel and alternative legal service providers. In particular, she understands effective management of electronically stored information (ESI) in response to second requests, US Department of Justice (DOJ) civil investigative demands (CIDs) and other government investigations. She is well versed in the complicated eDiscovery needs arising out of class action and multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters.
Shannon is skilled at managing discovery projects, leveraging technology to advance efficiency, and meet client goals. Having handled high-volume, high-pressure matters, Shannon understands how to work closely with stakeholders to tailor both legal and review strategies, focusing on best practices and exceptional client service. Shannon also manages non-litigation large document matters to assist clients with audits, investigations, and reporting.
She is especially proficient in advising teams regarding the assessment of privilege and then applying that knowledge to manage large-volume projects. This includes application of traditional attorney-client privilege and privilege logging, but also extends to special privilege issues, such as the Bank Examiner Privilege (BEP) and suspicious activity report (SAR) exclusions.
Shannon maintains an active pro bono practice supporting voting rights projects. She also volunteers with American Model United Nations, which provides an educational conference for university students regarding the United Nations and international diplomacy.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Shannon worked supporting eDiscovery clients at a major eDiscovery vendor. Shannon also previously worked on a number of large employment and civil rights class actions.
