Teri J. Diaz focuses her practice on representing corporate policyholders in the preservation and recovery of insurance assets. Teri has advised companies in complex insurance recovery matters including disputes involving toxic torts, property damage, business interruption loss, and other liabilities. She represents clients in federal and state courts across the United States and in mediation and arbitration proceedings. Her clients include companies in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, retail, energy, and healthcare.
In her litigation practice, Teri has developed case strategy, managed discovery, prepared fact and expert witnesses for depositions and trials, deposed corporate representatives and other witnesses, engaged in successful motions practice, and managed day-to-day activities at trials. Teri also maintains an active pro bono practice including representing an individual in a civil rights matter in federal court.
Teri received her J.D. from Harvard Law School after earning her B.A. with honors and distinction from Stanford University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. While in law school, Teri interned in the Economic Crimes Unit of the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts and served as a research assistant for Professor Benjamin I. Sachs. She was also a member of the Harvard International Law Journal.
