Toni Moran litigates cases involving individual claims and class and collective actions arising under federal, state, and local employment laws. Her work includes complex cases throughout the United States involving wage and hour disputes, discrimination, and retaliation. She has handled matters arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Equal Pay Act (EPA), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
Toni also regularly counsels clients on wage and hour compliance, including avoiding contractor misclassification and joint and co-employment liability, as well as avoiding risks associated with reclassification projects. She also focuses on a wide range of pay equity issues and has experience conducting proactive assessments of compensation, crafting remedial measures to mitigate future risk, handling investigations related to complaints of pay discrimination, and developing long-term pay equity and compliance strategies.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Toni served on active duty in the US Army and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She served as an enabler supporting Joint Special Operations Command Forces and instructed Afghan Security Force members on sensitive combat operations. Toni currently serves as an Associate Representative of Morgan Lewis’s Veteran Lawyer Network and also serves on the board of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group Alumni Association (PDLGAA).
