Tyler J. Dixon
Tyler Dixon advises clients on the design, implementation, and compliance of employee benefits and executive compensation programs. Tyler assists employers in navigating complex legal and regulatory aspects of benefits administration including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Internal Revenue Code requirements. Before law school, Tyler gained experience as an employee benefits specialist at Cummins Inc., where she supported life insurance and retirement plan administration, managed employee enrollments, and facilitated open enrollment initiatives. Tyler is admitted in New York only, and her practice is supervised by DC Bar members.
Tyler earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as executive vice president of the Cornell Law Students Association and vice chancellor of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the Moot Court Executive Board. As a Pro Bono Scholar for the State of New York, she represented veterans in disability benefit appeals and discharge upgrade matters through the Cornell Law Veterans Practicum.
Before law school, Tyler received a B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. She subsequently worked as an employee benefits specialist for Cummins Inc., gaining hands-on experience in plan design, administration, and compliance across health, life, and retirement plans.
