Udoka J. Okafor represents and counsels companies in a broad range of corporate business transactions including joint ventures, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate governance matters. While attending law school, she was an active mediator for disputes in Manhattan and Brooklyn civil courts, Harlem small claims court, the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution in the Bronx, and for the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as part of the Columbia Law Mediation Clinic.
Additionally, Udoka was a United Nations presenter and trainer leading presentations and workshops on Negotiation Theory, Leadership, and Self Awareness for diplomats from around the world.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Udoka was a healthcare consultant who performed comprehensive revenue cycle reviews for providers. She identified and reported on sources of underpayments to hospital boards caused by adverse contractual clauses and provided recommendations for future contract negotiations.
