Udoka J. Okafor
Udoka J. Okafor represents companies and investors in a broad range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and cross-border transactions. She advises emerging and established companies on equity and debt financings, including preferred stock financings, convertible notes, and SAFEs, and represents venture capital and other investors in connection with investments in private companies. Udoka also counsels clients on M&A, joint ventures, corporate governance matters, and other strategic transactions.
Udoka represents US and international clients in cross-border corporate transactions, working closely with local counsel and other advisors to coordinate the US and international aspects of investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
While attending law school, Udoka was an active mediator in disputes before Manhattan and Brooklyn civil courts, Harlem small claims court, the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution in the Bronx, and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) as part of the Columbia Law Mediation Clinic. She also served as a United Nations presenter and trainer, leading presentations and workshops on negotiation theory, leadership, and self-awareness for diplomats from around the world.
