Partner Joan Haratani spoke with Law360 about some of the challenges she has faced in her career as a lawyer of color. While Joan shared stories of racism she experienced as a young lawyer at another firm, she also pointed out her mentors who recognized her talents and believed in her. Joan stressed how important it is to have unrelenting faith in yourself.
"I deserve to be here. I deserve to advocate for my client and I will do the best job possible," Joan said. "Believing that takes a lot of persistence and self-belief."
