Partner Michael McCarthy was quoted in a Mergers & Acquisitions article discussing the growth and appeal of Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing, a tool that helps commercial property owners fund energy and resiliency upgrades, with increasing interest from private equity and insurance companies.
“When lenders consent to C-PACE, it gives that financing priority over their debt, so one way to resolve this challenge is to have the borrower put money into escrow to cover the C-PACE,” Michael said.
