The highly mobile workforce that characterizes many technology industry employers can create tax and benefits traps related to personnel movements within the United States.  This session will help employers to recognize and mitigate risks related to:

  • Income tax exemptions for "traveling expenses"
  • Limited exclusion of "commuting expenses" and "moving expenses"
  • Per diem rules
  • State taxation of workers in more than one state
