The multitude of devices and systems in cars creates an array of ever evolving privacy and cybersecurity issues. Our panel discussion will provide a survey of recent developments and evolving questions pertaining to “connected” and, in some cases, autonomous vehicles.
Topics to be explored include:
- Privacy disclosures provided to car owners and drivers
- The current reasonable expectation of privacy (or lack thereof)
- What the various US government bodies’ expectations are with respect to access to information stored on a vehicle
- What measures the US government and state governments expect in terms of cybersecurity and protection from hacking
