Wednesday, May 3, 2017
09:00 AM - 10:30 AM Pacific Daylight Time

Ever since the introduction of the America Invents Act, the use of post grant proceedings to challenge patents at the USPTO has grown exponentially. The Federal Circuit now adjudicates more appeals from the PTAB than it does from all district courts.

Please join us as we look back at post grant proceedings trends, statistics, and developments from 2016 and share best practices before the PTAB.

Topics will include:
  • A brief overview of post grant proceedings
  • The latest trends and statistics for post grant proceedings and their appeals
  • Recent developments in CBM eligibility, IPR estoppel, procedural safeguards, and the PTAB’s treatment of secondary considerations for non-obviousness
  • Practice tips
