Morgan Lewis, Ivins, Phillips & Barker, and Bloomberg BNA have developed a full-day seminar on the latest developments impacting the research and development tax credit under IRC section 41, as well as best practices for claiming and documenting the research credit and defending research credit claims on audit.

Morgan Lewis tax partner Alex Sadler will be serving as co-chair of the event, and attorneys Tom Linguanti and Doug Norton will be participating as speakers.

This symposium is designed for corporate tax directors, tax managers, accountants, and other tax professionals assisting companies that engage in technology credit and have credit-qualifying activities and costs.

Sessions will cover:

  • Best practices for identifying and documenting qualifying R&D activities and costs and preparing your R&D tax credit claim
  • Recently proposed regulations on internal-use software development costs
  • Difficult issues frequently arising within the research credit and strategies for handling them

The event will be followed by a cocktail reception.
