2018 IP Academy Series: Divided Infringement/ Inducement

Friday, March 16, 2018
04:30 PM - 06:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time

At the end of last year, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit recognized the broad scope of attribution under the doctrine of divided infringement in its decision in Travel Sentry v. Tropp. The decision dealt with infringement of a method claim by multiple actors, sometimes called "divided infringement," and revisited the 35 USC § 271 question.

Please join us as we review the background of divided infringement/inducement and recent case developments in this area. We will also discuss how to better draft claims in view of the divided infringement/inducement doctrine.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided after the discussion.
