Labor and employment partner Douglas T. Schwarz will speak at the 4th Annual Employment Law Institute held by the New York City Bar on a panel titled, “Employment Law Issues Arising in Workplace and Government Investigations.”
This institute will examine recent trends, developments, and cutting edge issues in employment law. Topics to be discussed include the reemergence of sexual harassment as a headline issue; common ethical pitfalls for employment lawyers; legal issues arising both in the hiring process and dismissal of an employee; and developments in wage and hour law. There will also be break-out sessions that focus on employment issues that arise in workplace and government investigations; essentials of executive compensation; strategies for negotiating employment contracts and severance agreements; and litigating trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes.
