The 18th Annual Penn APALSA Conference, titled "Forging Ahead: Confronting Today's Global Challenges," focused on how Asian Americans bring about social change in the world. The three panels touched upon topics including immigration, trade war, and national security. Mr. Dale Minami, lawyer and civil rights activist who overturned the conviction of Fred Korematsu, delivered the keynote speech. The conference offered career workshops and opportunities for networking.
Morgan Lewis partner Nancy Yamaguchi participated in the third panel: Beyond Border Walls: Peace and Security, where she presented on the international nature of her practice and how cross-border transactions can foster international peace.
