Morgan Lewis was proud to sponsor "Celebrating APA Women Partners and General Counsel,” an event organized by the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA) in San Francisco.
The event recognized distinguished Asian Pacific American (APA) women law firm partners and general counsel. Litigation partner Chuck Shimada, the first APA woman partner in a major San Francisco law firm, was recognized as a trailblazer. Chuck also spoke about the progress APA women have made in the legal profession, ongoing challenges, and her experiences as an APA woman at a large firm. In addition, litigation partner Joan Haratani spoke on a panel with other prominent APA women partners.
