This year’s annual rulemaking for the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule is officially underway following the publication of the proposed rule on July 29, 2019. The calendar year (CY) 2020 proposed rule includes a number of significant proposals that would incorporate several coding changes, implement new statutory requirements related to treatment of substance abuse disorders, and further reduce administrative burden on practitioners.
