On June 9, Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Angus King (I-ME) introduced the Accelerating Charitable Efforts Act (ACE Act). The sponsors state the purpose of the ACE Act is to reform private foundations and ensure that donor advised funds (DAFs) make resources available to “working charities” in a “reasonable period of time.” However, with a complex set of incentives and penalties in the bill, the impact could be felt across the nonprofit sector, not just the organizations it seeks to regulate.
Please join Morgan Lewis and members of the philanthropy team at Urban Swirski & Associates for a webinar discussing the specifics of the bill and the politics around it.
