1:00 PM - 2:00 PM PT

Join our nuclear and electric industry lawyers for a webinar discussing proposals by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) to modify current wholesale electricity market designs in ways that could impact state policy goals that support zero-carbon-emitting generation assets such as renewables and nuclear. During the webinar, we will discuss these and other proposals at both federal and state levels, how the proposals will change market designs, and the likely impact of each, with a special focus on potential impacts for nuclear generation plants.

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

  • A discussion of relevant market design issues
  • Proposals to change organized wholesale electricity markets
  • A summary of key stakeholder responses to RTOs’ proposals
  • A summary of key comments on FERC’s request for comments
  • Other potential avenues to support baseload and zero-carbon-emitting power plants such as nuclear
