This course is the second in TEI's "Spring Seminar" series. The purpose of the Spring Seminars is to present training on topics that all tax professionals should understand to be successful in their careers.
This year's course: "IRS Practice and Procedure" focuses on what tax professionals should know about how the IRS conducts exams, appeals, post-appeals mediation and litigation. It will discuss such topics as: the difference between a Form 870, a Form 870-AD and a closing agreement; the difference between a formal refund claim versus an informal refund claim; rules, procedures and strategies for statute extension; etc.
