W. Brad Nes

W. Brad Nes is a seasoned trial lawyer representing clients in complex commercial, insurance recovery, and business tort disputes. He has successfully tried jury and bench trials in state and federal courts and has secured arbitration awards before domestic and international tribunals. Brad has also argued as lead counsel before the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Brad was recently recognized as "Litigator of the Week" by AmLaw Litigation Daily and as a "Legal Lion" by Law360 for winning a precedent setting jury trial on behalf of PBS.

Brad has experience litigating complex business disputes involving a wide range of claims, including breach of contract, business torts, consumer fraud and unfair business practices, class actions, and civil RICO violations. In the insurance area, he has represented policyholders in disputes involving general liability, property, fidelity and crime, professional liability, and mortgage insurance policies.

Brad also maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients in significant civil rights and constitutional litigation before trial and appellate courts across the United States, including the US Supreme Court. He received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Brad was a law clerk to Judge Sam R. Cummings of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas (2005–2006).
