NEW YORK, January 30, 2024: American Lawyer Media named Morgan Lewis the winner of the E-Discovery Technology and Innovation category in the Legalweek 2024 Leaders in Tech Law Awards, which recognize law firms, in-house legal departments, and providers that have developed and implemented innovative legal technologies. At the January 29 awards ceremony in New York, recently retired partner Tess Blair was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in founding, shaping, and leading the firm’s eData practice.
The E-Discovery Technology and Innovation win recognizes the development and launch of Morgan Lewis’s eData Tech Stack, which enables the firm’s lawyers to efficiently complete time-consuming tasks associated with ediscovery and encompasses a search term validator, Microsoft Teams chat sorter, and training and skills-assessment platform.
Morgan Lewis was also a finalist in the Best Use of Emerging Technology (Non-AI) category for its collaboration with OutSystems to use low-code development to build digital applications that can be adapted to address a myriad of firm and client legal needs.
The firm was also a finalist in Innovations in Knowledge Management for two projects: ML Client Intel, which provides client information in a frequently updated dashboard containing reports from multiple sources, and VizBridge, an interactive digital application designed in-house that gives clients a view of their trademarks around the world. Partner Rachelle Dubow was a finalist for Innovator of the Year for envisioning and spearheading VizBridge.
