Jaclyn Unis Whittaker
Jaclyn Unis Whittaker defends companies and individuals in government investigations, enforcement actions, white collar criminal defense matters, and internal investigations, with a focus on False Claims Act (FCA), Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), and bribery and corruption matters. She has a particular focus on matters related to the technology industry and alleged breaches of cybersecurity requirements. Her FCA experience also includes healthcare fraud and defense industry fraud. She litigates against the US Department of Justice (DOJ), state attorneys general, and private plaintiffs.
In addition to her litigation and white collar practice, Jaclyn regularly counsels companies across industries on developing, implementing, evaluating, and auditing internal compliance programs and on incident response. She is a member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and the National Arab American Bar Association. Jaclyn is also a member of the firm’s Middle Eastern North African Lawyer Network.
Jaclyn maintains an active pro bono practice and volunteers for the HIAS division in Philadelphia and a number of voting rights organizations nationally. She has also represented clients in civil rights cases before the Third Circuit and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jaclyn worked as a securities litigation and white collar defense associate at an international law firm and clerked on the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
