Michelle A. Page is a cross-border investigations lawyer, bringing international experience from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to her practice. She advises and defends companies cross-industry (financial services, tech, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, oil and gas) on a range of significant and sensitive criminal and civil investigations and enforcement cases and conducts complex cross-border internal investigations in relation to bribery, corruption, fraud, sanctions, and money laundering.
Michelle has an extensive background dealing with key regulators, including the UK National Crime Agency (NCA), HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), UK Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO), UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and UK ICO, and in matters involving the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
Michelle also advises clients on privacy, cybersecurity, and data strategy, including cyber breach crisis management and handling all regulatory notifications. She maintains a strong compliance counselling practice, providing day-to-day support and training to clients on UK legislation, including the Proceeds of Crime Act (2002), Bribery Act (2010), Modern Slavery Act (2015), Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations (2017), Sanctions and Money Laundering Act (2018), and Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (2023).
Alongside her core investigations practice, Michelle has worked on FCA financial crime s166 skilled person reviews and large-scale anti-money laundering (AML) remediation exercises.
