Paul Mesquitta represents clients in complex commercial disputes involving both litigation and arbitration across various sectors, including finance services, insurance, and engineering. Paul has represented clients in commercial litigation arising out of the most high-profile issues in recent years, including acting for investment funds in relation to a first-of-its-kind multimillion-dollar securities litigation claim under s.90A of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Paul has also represented clients in arbitral disputes, including a complex claim for breach of contract by a US defense manufacturer.
Paul has experience in advising policyholders in recovery actions across various lines of business against their insurers, including for business interruption losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic and financial losses as a result of the actions/omissions of the policyholders’ directors and officers.
