Partner Manita Rawat is quoted by Bloomberg Law in an article about new patent guidance from the US Patent and Trademark Office on AI-assisted inventions.
Manita said that companies should “document human involvement in AI-assisted inventions before the patent application process to help show that inventions are patent-eligible.”
“We now have AI technology where some of these inventions are coming up with reiterations on their own,” Manita added.
