Morgan Lewis partner Rebecca Dandeker spoke with Pink Sheet for an article about the US Food and Drug Administration’s Orange Book, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in October. In the article, she discussed the next stage of evolution for the Orange Book, suggesting that the guide incorporate the dates that products moved from its active to discontinued section and that approvals be added to the electronic database daily. "Approvals aren't updated except monthly and you have to go to the monthly supplement to see what happened in not even the prior 30 days," she said. "This day and age everything is real-time, so to say the Orange Book is not going to include that information for another 30 days is a little old fashioned."
