Morgan Lewis 2020 Cartel Report: Select Jurisdictions See Increased Activity Despite Pandemic

January 05, 2021

LONDON and WASHINGTON, DC, January 5, 2021: Morgan Lewis has published its Global Cartel Enforcement Report 2020, a detailed analysis of key cartel enforcement activity by leading enforcement authorities around the world.

Produced by our leading antitrust and competition practice, the annual analysis highlights notable corporate and individual fines across industries and tracks emerging and continuing trends and key policy developments in the antitrust and competition space.

Among the report’s findings, cartel enforcement activity in 2020 increased in many jurisdictions despite the challenges of an unprecedented global pandemic. Corporate fines, for example, more than doubled in some jurisdictions compared with 2019. Other jurisdictions, however, saw a significant drop in cartel enforcement activity and fines.
