Morgan Lewis partner Russell Bruch was quoted in a Law360 article regarding employment legislation to focus on in the second half of 2021.
One of these bills is the Raise Wage Act, which seeks to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour and an executive order that would increase the minimum wage for federal contract workers. Russell said that one best practice for employers to address the potential changes is to be “mindful of employee relations issues and making sure that you have happy workers."
