Corporate Counsel profiled Morgan Lewis’s workplace culture consulting and training practice in an article that detailed how a growing number of companies are undertaking workplace culture assessments and investigations before an incident occurs. Partner Sharon Masling pointed to the #MeToo movement and the 2020 calls for racial justice as prompting many companies to turn their attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Since 2017, when Morgan Lewis convened 17 lawyers to conduct culture assessments in response to #MeToo, the team—which now has 35 lawyers—has seen a 620% increase in the number of hours they spend on this type of work. The team currently handles more than 100 matters related to workplace culture counseling and training.
