A recent appellate court decision clarified that manual workers can sue companies over late wages even if paid in full.
Partner Stephanie Schuster was quoted in an SHRM article, commenting on the recent decision.
“The extent of liability in actions brought by employees is unsettled and is being actively litigated,” Stephanie said.
“Certain large employers may apply to the New York State Department of Labor for an exemption” to the rule.
