LONDON, September 12, 2022: Morgan Lewis advised HSBC Group on the financing for the development of the 65-megawatt Erciyes wind power plant and 35 megawatts of solar hybrid power plant investments by Enerjisa Enerji Űretim A.Ş., one of Türkiye’s largest independent power producers. Structured to meet the Green Loan Principles, the total value of the financing package is $102 million.
The financing for the wind power plant is backed by Germany’s export credit agency, Euler Hermes Aktiengesellschaft, and the transaction utilizes a third-party funding structure under Germany’s ERP Export Financing Programme, which is administered by KfW IPEX-Bank. The ERP Export Financing Programme supports lending for German exports to emerging and developing countries.
