Partner Joan Haratani was profiled in The Recorder as part of her nomination for the publication’s California Legal Awards Mentorship Award.
In the Q&A, Joan and her mentee, associate CJ Armstrong, spoke about Joan’s mentorship style and its impact on CJ’s career.
“I am consistent and a good listener who is not afraid to get personal,” Joan said.
“I like to encourage deep thinking and intimacy, and believe the most important support I can give is to be nonjudgmental, honest and consistent.”
“Joan taught me that anything I want is attainable if I work and lead with candor, authenticity, and care,” CJ said.
