Partners Giovanna Cinelli and Kenneth Nunnenkamp were featured in a Foreign Investment Watch roundup of key takeaways from 2022.
“The national security calculus for cross-border investments has changed,” Giovanna said.
“The government is more coordinated, taking a ‘whole of government’ approach to the [Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States], export control, and national security process.”
Kenneth said 2022 showed that the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States is in a “state of change,” with a need to continue to hire more people to keep up with a growing workload of notified and non-notified transactions.
