Morgan Lewis Adds Toxic Torts Litigation Partner Peter Moir in Dallas

Tuesday, April 25, 2023

DALLAS, April 25, 2023: Peter Moir, a seasoned toxic torts trial lawyer, has joined Morgan Lewis as a partner resident in Dallas. He arrives from Forman Watkins & Krutz and will continue defending product liability and toxic tort cases.

“Bolstering our first-chair trial capabilities is an ongoing focus for our strategic growth as a firm,” said firm chair Jami McKeon. “Our clients involved in high-stakes product liability trials depend on our team’s steadfast advocacy, and Peter’s command of the scientific and medical issues often at play in this type of litigation is a crucial service to our clients.”

Peter has spent his career in courtrooms, including representing corporations in defense of asbestos-related personal injury cases. He also has represented some of the country’s leading corporations in other commercial and personal injury disputes.

“While he is a valued team member and welcomed resource in Texas, he has served as a national trial counsel across the United States,” said Brady Edwards, leader of Morgan Lewis’s mass torts practice. “Several lawyers on our team have worked with Peter over the years and think highly of his work ethic and strong defense of clients; we are thrilled to have him as a colleague.”

Peter’s arrival follows the expansion earlier this year of the firm’s toxic torts team with four trial lawyers, including Paul Scrudato, Jill Berry, who joined from ArentFox Schiff as partners resident in New York, and Thomas Burns and Stephanie Spardone, who joined from Foley & Mansfield as a partner resident in Chicago and of counsel resident in Dallas, respectively.
