HOUSTON, April 26, 2023: The Association of Corporate Growth (AGC) Houston honored Morgan Lewis and client Phoenix Oil Inc. in both the 2022 Deal of the Year and the Transportation & Logistics Deal of the Year categories for the acquisition of Firebird Bulk Carriers and Phoenix Oil by Adams Resources & Energy. The annual ACG Awards Ceremony celebrates Houston-area bankers, outside law firms, and key advisors involved in the most noteworthy middle-market mergers and acquisitions of the year.
Adams Resources acquired Firebird Bulk Carriers, an interstate bulk motor carrier of crude oil condensate, fuels, oils, and other petroleum products, and Phoenix Oil, a company that recycles and repurposes off-spec fuels, lubricants, crude oil, and other chemicals from producers in the United States, in August 2022.
Partner Jeff Dinerstein and associate Kelsey Warren, who were part of the team that represented Phoenix Oil in the transaction, were in attendance to accept the award.
